Baking soda

Baking Soda Baking Soda is an alkaline powder that is commonly used product. we use in kitchen for many purposes Pair baking soda with other household cleaners, such as dishwashing liquid it becomes an even more powerful cleaning agent that do most of the cleaning work for you .It helps us to scrub the shower, tiles cleaning, works as cream cleanser on sinks and bathtubs, cuts through kitchen grease, mixing baking soda with lemon use to clean stainless steel pans or sinks, works as laundry booster and drain cleaner

  • Pans and Pots cleaner-Baking soda helps to wash pots and pans. It doesn’t harm their valuables either. Soak your pots and pans in baking soda mix with water and leave it for half and hour to cut the grease and grime from utensils
  • Carpet cleaner-Using chemicals to carpet may be harmful to your pets and children. Baking soda helps to clean and remove odors from carpet and makes it great smell. Springle the baking soda on your carpet ,let it sit for couple of minutes and vacuum the carpet
  • Oven Cleaner-Most people don’t like to use poisonous chemicals in the oven. No-one likes using harsh chemicals with their toxic odor that doesn’t do our environment any good. Baking soda is non-toxic, inexpensive, simple to use, and extremely effective at removing oven grease clean . Baking soda is alkaline, whereas oven grease made of food particles is acidic. Baking soda neutralizes acids and breaks down grease, allowing you to wipe it up with minimal effort. It’s also a mild abrasive, so it’s great for removing dried-on foods. You don’t need to turn on your oven, and you can use it right away after cleaning it with baking soda. Get 3 to 4 spoons of baking soda and mix with water to make a paste. Use the paste in your oven to leave it for 30 minutes and scrub it to clean.
  • Soap scum remover-To remove soap scum from glass and tiles -Mix 1/4 hydrogen peroxide to two parts baking soda and make a paste. Apply the paste to grout with a grout brush or toothbrush and let it sit 5 minutes. Use a brush to to scrub a bit ,rinse it and wipe it. Use a same paste on sponge to remove soap scum from glass
  • Drain Cleaner-A baking soda and vinegar is safer option to clear normal drain rather than using harmful chemicals. Put few spoons of baking soda in drain and put vinegar on top. Rinse with hot water after that.
  • Act As multipurpose-Baking soda has extra scrubbing power that makes the job easy. Sprinkle the baking soda on a damp sponge with a non-scratch scrubbing surface. Use the sponge to scrub Bath tubs, sinks, tiles and toilets etc.
  • Baking Soda and hydrogen peroxide-Take 1 part of baking soda and 1/4 part hydrogen peroxide to make a paste to helps to clean bathroom tiles and tiles grout , polish kitchen appliances, remove water stains from utensils, and remove grease that builds up on pans.
  • Sinks-Sprinkle baking soda and lemon together to scrub the sinks and shine your sinks
  • Laundry Booster-Baking soda works as laundry booster .Add ½ cup of baking soda to laundry along with your detergent. Baking soda help lift odors from dirty clothes.
  • Cooktop cleaner-Pour baking soda on cooktop especially on grime surface and let sit for couple of minutes. Wipe with a damp sponge, scrub it gently. Wipe your cooktop with a cloth.
  • Polisher-Make a paste with 2 to 3 parts baking soda, 1 part of water. Rub paste onto silverware to give a shine. Wipe it with cloth
  • Floor Grout cleaner-Make 2 spoons baking soda fill in water bottle to put on the floor grout and use 1/2 water and 1/2 white vinegar to put on top of baking soda to scrub the grout and get a clean floor grout.
  • Microwave cleaner-Get a damp sponge with sprinkle of baking soda and use it to clean a microwave.
  • Dishwasher cleaner-sprinkle an amount of baking soda into your dishwasher then run an empty wash. It will make it clean and fresh.

Don’t use Baking soda on

Aluminium
when applying bicarb to aluminum cookware, make caution and avoid if possible. If you allow bicarbonate soda to sit on the surface for too long can cause it to oxidize and change colour.  

Vinegar

White vinegar is one of the great household item that works on many areas of cleaning. It is a powerful multipurpose cleaner that you might already have sitting in the cupboard. White vinegar is acidic in nature. It cuts through tough dirt and grime that build up from soap scum and hard water stains. Mixing vinegar with dish soap become more powerful. Use vinegar to make your own glass cleaner. Vinegar is a natural disinfectant, it can clean and disinfect countertops. It works pretty good on toilets, Bath and tubs, floors, soaps cum and some types of mold etc. Make sure don’t use it on porous surfaces like granite, marble, or natural stone, because it’s of acidic nature

  • Soap scum/limescale remover from Glass-Mix equal parts white vinegar and water,1/4 dish soap in a spray bottle to remove soap scum from bathroom glass, just make a spray bottle for once and don’t leave the mixture longer. Second method is to mix equal parts of white vinegar and water to spray on glass and leave it on glass for few minutes and use a dish soap on sponge to scrub and neutralize it
  • All purpose cleaner- for windows, counters, and kitchen fixtures: Mix 1/4 cup cleaning vinegar and 3 cups water in a spray bottle. Add 1/2 teaspoon dish soap. Shake well to mix and label the bottle. It is a natural disinfect to clean the counter tops. It is acidic so avoid the granite and marble countertops.it also helps to remove odors from kitchen area.
  • Floor cleaner-White vinegar can also be used on hardwood floors, tiles, laminate and vinyl floors. Fill a bucket of warm water and 1/2 cup cleaning vinegar. Use a mop to clean the floor,no need to rinse the floor; it will not leave residue or streaks.
  • Chrome and taps cleaning-Use 1/2 water and 1/2 water in a bottle plus squeeze one lemon with non scratching sponge to remove water stain from chrome and fixtures.
  • Tiles surface cleaner-Bathroom cleaning is tough if we compare to other parts of the house. No one likes to clean that we need extra energy to get rid of soap scum, tiles and other water stain. Use 1 part white vinegar 1/4 part Dish soap and non scratch sponge to clean the bathroom tiles and works great on porcelain and ceramic tiles. Avoid to use on granite and marble.
  • Toilet cleaner-Pour 3 to 4 cups of undiluted white vinegar into the toilet bowl and let it sit for overnight for best results. Scrub with a toilet brush and flush. This helps eliminate any yellow stain and make it smells better.
  • Window cleaner-Get 10 litres bucket of water and Use 1 cup white vinegar, 1/2 cup dish soap and 1 cup glass cleaner to mix in water. This powerful mixture helps to cut the dirt from windows. Squeeze the water and use microfiber cloth to give shine to glass
