What is soap scum?
Soap scum forms when the minerals in hard water reacts with fatty acids, soap and other ingredients and it builds up on your bathroom surfaces. Soap scum also contains body oil, dirt, and bacteria. When it’s left it for few days, the buildup is very difficult to remove from a shower screens. Bathroom cleaning is tough if we compare to other parts of the house. No one likes to clean that we need extra energy to get rid of soap scum, tiles and other water stain. If we leave the shower glass without cleaning for more than 2 weeks, soap scum and other minerals built up quite quickly. it’s hard to clean the soap scum as the time passes.

1. How to Remove Soap Scum From Shower Walls and chrome
In order to clean your shower glass and chrome
- Get one spray bottle and fill half with vinegar and 1/2 fill with water
- Use spray bottle to spray on your shower walls, fixtures, and glass doors.
- Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes or so.
- Use a dish soap to scrub the glass
- Dip the sponge in container and scrub in circles.
- Use the soft toothbrush for edges
- Rinse and repeat as necessary
- Mostly it work with dishwashing and vinegar mixture but if you still see the soap scum on shower. Pour a spoon of baking soda on sponge and scrub the shower. Wipe the surfaces down again with a non-scratch sponge, Rinse with water.
- Wipe the water with squeeze and shine the glass with glass cleaner and microfibre cloth
- Use the vinegar and dishwashing liquid mixture on chrome and you can also use the half on chrome works really well
Heavy soap scum remover
If the soap scum is heavy, Add tablespoon of hydrozen peroxide in the baking soda paste. Spread the mixture on the fiberglass and let it work for 15-30 minutes. Rinse nicely and dry.
How to clean tiles grout
Tiles grout is hardest thing to remove sometimes I have good recipe for that -Mix 1/4 hydrogen peroxide to two parts baking soda and make a paste. Apply the paste to grout with a grout brush or toothbrush and let it sit 5 minutes. Use a brush to to scrub a bit ,rinse it and wipe it.
